Post - Custom Fiel Function Calculator

How can I define a User Defined Variable in Fluent like this one: Tstar = (T â€" T_mean_outlet) I have tried the Custom Field Function Calculator but it is not obvious to me how to use a surface integral value in the calculator directly. Can it not be done?

Kind regards. Michael Bo

Use define/custom field function (CFF) field function/Temperature/static or total temperature /select you will see it on definition window then by clicking the required formula and values with help of "mouse click" get the custum field function For "T_mean_outlet" define this as CFF as said above and then select the formula and then for post processing do the following; 1) see the "contours/CFF" apply 2) see the surface intigral; this will give you the overall avarage value on surface, find it in TUI write me for further details; Thanks

Since you cannot adress a boundary in the custom field function calculator its not possible to define Tstar directly. If you need it only for postprocessing you can get the mean value from the report->surface integral panel and use it in your cff. If you want to monitor Tstar to judge convergeance during iterations you will need an udf.
