Default VOF of Mixture model?

I am simulating multiphase flow in a pipe with a very small liquid fraction. The liquid has a much smaller velocity then the gas. I have learnt that the VOF model can be inaccurate for phases which differ a lot in velocity. Will the mixture model be sufficient to solve this flow?

Thanks in advance,

John

Nobody will know. Why not make a quick try? cfd is always case by case basic.
