respected sir,

i am student of IITG whos is working in the field of cfd specifically in the area of SEPARATION OF INCLUSION PARTICLES IN STEEL FLOW

my computational domain is a rectangular 3-D duct called TUNDISH NOW I WANT TO KNOW 1.HOW TO GET THE PARTICLE TRAJECTORIES IN BOTH STEADY AND UNSTEADY MANNER. 2.HOW TO KNOW THE CONCENTRATION OF THESE PARTICLES(AL2O3)

HOPING YOU RESPONDS TO ME

THANKING YOU SIR

YOURS SINCERLY

Hi i read u problem but not getting actualy idea means u doing the steel as flow or any type of combustion, if there is any type of combustion then it is possible but if there is solid then it is difficult. u consider a VOF model and take fluid as steel and give velocity to it in fluent. If any know more then send deatil about your problem

hi manoj many thanx for your response

actually this is my problem my computational domain is a 3-D rectangular goemetry having one inlet at top surface which is a free surface and one out let at bottom surface.

THERE IS NO COMBUSTION IN MY PROBLEM.Actually steel is coming from laddle and enters in to my domain from inlet in liquid form which obiviously contains solid inclusion particles(AL2O3) and going to the mould through outlet.

My aim is to remove the as many number of particles as before they going through the outlet

this is complete description of my problem

i am looking for ur response

bye
