They all can't do it! You can use Fastran(CFDRC). The Fastran is designed to calculate the high Mach Fluid.

Hi,

Although I do not know the situation after ESI thing, Fastran was good in aerothermal flows, I am not sure about CFX but I know Fluent can solve hypersonic flows. Fluent has a validation case where Ma=29.45(Yes, Ma=29.45!) around a sphere is simulated. The results are compared with two experimental data, one of Widhopf AIAA-88-2711, the other Dellinger AIAA-69-655 and there is an excellent agreement. Please note that flow is dissociating --> in chemical non-equilibrium.

Regards,

Emre
