Convergence Question

Dear All,
I have a small question regarding convergence and I would be most grateful if any one can answer it. I did a 2D problem earlier of a wing and it took the lift and drag about 8000 iterations to converge, however I modelled the similar wing in 3D and this time it the solver about 2500 iterations to converge on a solution. My question is how come this happened even though I have used similar boundary conditions and turbulence model? Is 3D quick compared to 2D? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance. James |

Looks like there might be some problem. Did you change any of the Under-relaxation factors?

No I did not change any thing! Thanks, James |
