Default DPM Boundary Conditions, UDF

Hi there!!!

I am trying to simulate the deposition of inert dust particles through pipes. The boundary conditions offered by the DPM model on walls are just trap or reflect. I would like to set a user defined boundary condition so that all particles initially reflect on walls but, after this reflection, if the particle has a velocity that runs perpendicular to the wall lower than a prefixed value, the boundary condition changes and the particle is recorded as trapped. Can anybody help me with this problem?

Thanks a lot in advance!!!!

Juan

In theory, you could do this with a UDF, but if you don't have any experience in working with UDF's it could take 1 to 2 weeks of time to write and test it.

An alternative would be to use the tangential coefficent of restitution in the wall boundary condition. By playing with this value, and perhaps applying different values at different locations, you may be able achieve what you want much more quickly.
