interior is the fluid area, the area in which your fluid"moves". internal boundary can be something like that:inlet,outlet,wall..namely a boudary of your fluid. Did i help?fell free to ask Regards

hi john inernal and interior in gambit is same when it comes to fluent. both will be visible as interior only. if go to tgrid then makes a lot of difference when you export surface mesh to tgrid and trying to do mesh there then surfaces which defined as interior will be unavailable and only internal surfaces will be available for giving boundary conditions this is my opinion. if it is wrong please correct me. thank you

Hi,

Is the similarity between interface and interior boundary condition applicable to a 2D geometry where an edge connecting two different faces (with different meshes) is assigned the same?

Thanks in advance.

there is dynamic mesh in the attached picture , when BODY A will move to Point 1, then ZONE X will move and connect to ZONE Y, the fluid then should flow from X to Y Zone.
For X and Y Zone, the edges that will face each other on contact should be INTERIOR/INTERNAL? or of which type?
kindly guide
