Engine modelling

I am trying to develope a quasi-static engine model of a single cylinder engine. I am trying to model the popet valves as solid volumes in the flow. However when i set them as volumes and then export them from gambit t fluent does not seem to see them and the flow behaves as if the valves are not there. Can you please off some advice please?

Have you made sure that the volume for the air region in Gambit doesn't include the volume containing the poppet?

Any luck with that? It is essentially what I am trying to do with my project. :D Maybe we could swap tips.

Yeah, i just ended up deleting the volumes of the popet valves, was not the solution i wanted. Going to go to fluent expert class soon to try and find out a better solution
