Hello, all. I am having difficulties with simulating a fuel oil burner. The droplets evaporate too slow, and the reactions and PDF mixture fraction appear only around the cone generated by the swirling air in the middle.

Does anyone have experience with this situation?

Are drop diameters in the right range? What about the latent heat of vaporization?

When I minimise the diameters (25e-06) I still don't get an acceptable evap. speed.........And the latent heat is the default one for the fuel oil...........

Can I maybe initialise the solution in such a way that my droplets evaporate quickly (high temperature)????

Hi, I don't know if this may be useful but, did you try to see if the value of the satured vapor pressure is correct or not? I had a similar problem when I was simulating a water injection inside a stream of air, and it was due to the incorrect satured vapor pressure value.
