MUSIG model was first initiated by Simo Lo in ADMIRE project sponsored by European Union collectively known was BRITE EURAM Project. SO this all about MUSIG model. It has two parts Break up and Coalescence by Luo and Svendsen (1996) and Prince and Blanch (1993) for coalescence model. Yes the models are valid for Drops. CFX series had it for along time and still has it. The latest version CFX 5.7 has it. There is a large literature about this model u can figure them by doing simple literaure search on Science direct, Compendex.... or even Google. Just go and type ADMIRE OR MuSiG model. 'KP' Wht gerometry you are working on????

Point to keep in mind that flow has to be bubbly regime and for horizontal pipe I guess it is difficult to get. 6.2 does not have PBE. KP

Yes bubble column eg has PBE no doubt. I meant to say that in the case of horizontal pipe u have to look for experiemental cases where the regime is bubbly flow. I hope this helps. KP

DO NOT UPGRADE YOUR CURRENT VERSION OF FLUENT. AS I "PRESUME" YOU ARE ON 6.1.22 BUT IF YOU GOT TO 6.2 U "MAY" ENCPUNTER SOME DIVERGENCE WITH THE SAME CODE.Population balance is ported to FLUENT 6.2 as well in the form of UDF. However it is not yet released for the academic institutes.
