Hello everybody,

I have difficulties with modeling autoignition from hot surface. Is it possible to model it with FLUENT application?

I appreciate every help.

Regards

Thank you for response. I have such situation: I need to model combustion (decomposition) of monopropellant. Monopropellants can be ignited by catalytic bed and high temperature concentrated in point (spark) or hot surface. Of course there are others species regarding to concern. I want to give on the surface (tube) high temperature or heat flux and observe is it possible to start the decomposition of the propellant?

Fluent has options for spark ignition. For auto ignition if appropriate u can go for arrhenius rate also.
