flow through duct

Hi everyone, I simulate flow through duct with multiple outlets, how can I compute flow discharge at each outlet zone, is there any post-processing option builtin in fluent to do this or I have to write a UDF

Thanks in advance for replay

Flow discharge? There's mass flow rate and volume flow rate options available under Report->Surface Integrals. Is this what you're looking for? You can monitor these values during the iteration process as well by going to Solve->Monitors->Surface Integrals.

Hope this helps and good luck, Jason

Hi Natik,

During ur modeling in gambit itself u mention (specify)each outlet as seperate outtlet..leat us say ur having 1 inlet and 2 wall and 10 outlet...then dont select all the outlet faces and specify as single oultet..select individualy so that u will end up with 1 inlet 2 wall and outlet 1,outlet2....outlet 10...then import the model to fluent and specify the Pressure or outflow or velocity values (B.C)at the 10 outlets seperately..I HOPE THIS WHAT UR LOOKING FOR...
