how to define a depth of my 2d mesh in fluent?

I have to model a very long thin pipe. I have modelled and meshed a long thin rectangle but now i'm stopped because i don't know how can i define the width of the pipe. thanx a lot in advance

thanx a lot ahmed, but now i only have to change de depth value and leave the other reference values? i don't understand how this reference values work. thanx again for your help-i need it

Hello jordi,
First of all if u r trying to model a cylindrical pipe, the best 2d representation is axi- symmetric. Because a rectangle in 2d does not represent a cylindrical pipe. |

oh sorry, i'd like to define a flow between two plane parallell surfaces, to analixe the pressure loses due to viscosity. so i need to model a rectangle with only two walls and an inlet and an outlet. what shall i do? thanx in advance

Yes... then u can do that in report/reference value/depth... hope this helps .
