Blowing solution!

Hi all,

iam working on air filters and i use porous volume formulation for modelling the filter media.I use DPM for modelling the sand particles.I will get the value of sand that deposited on the filter surface with my UDF's and i will store the value of sand collected in a user defined memory. The resistance coefficients of the filter media (porous volume) are varied with respect to the amount of sand deposited. The source term is calculated from the resistance coefficients and included into the standard momentum equations. So the increasing pressure drop across the filter media is predicted. The problem iam facing is when the source term increases, after certain iterations the solution starts blowing i.e the residual values of continuity and velocities increase drastically and soon iam getting floating point error. how to overcome this?

Thanks for your time.. regards Thiyaga.
