UDF problem caused by various version of Fluent

Hi,

I come across a problem which maybe caused by various version of FLuent. The former udf was used in Fluent 6.1. When I use these udf in Fluent 6.2, error information appears as followed "Error: FLUENT received fatal signal (ACCESS_VIOLATION) 1. Note exact events leading to error. 2. Save case/data under new name. 3. Exit program and restart to continue. 4. Report error to your distributor. Error Object: ()" I can interpreted these udf but cannot use them just due to these error. Could you please tell me what is the possible reasons for this? Thanks in advance.

i also meet this question. it is caused by any UDF error. you should look carefully over your UDF codes. bear in mind: carefully!!

I have had similar problems. My Fluent support engineer was able to trace one instance back to reading saved boundary conditions in over a new geometry - and apparent differences in V6.1 and V6.2. I still have a problem doing pathlines in 6.2, when the same UDFs were fine in 6.1. No answer for this one.

I don't necessarily think it is a problem with my UDFs - only that 6.1 and 6.2 treat them with subtle differences.

More specifically, what problems are you having?

Thank you all for your attention for my question.

Thanks haitao_zhang for your suggestion and I will check my udf codes carefully.

Allan, my udf is for porosity distribution, inertical resistance factor and viscous resistance factor in porous media.

I haven't solved this problem. I want to cry~
