Hydrodynamics of High Density CFB

Hi everybody,

I am trying to simulate hydrodynamics of high density gas-solid circulating fluidized bed using Fluent 6.2.16. I know that many people have succeeded doing so; but min doesn't work. I couldn't get the perfect core annulus regime. I do have less particle concentration at the center and then more solids in the two sides but near the wall I do have dilute phase goes to zero concentration. My system has 70 micron FCC particles, specularity coeff of 0.5, E-wall 0.95, riser height 6.4 m, and Riser diameter 0.0762 m. I am suspecting the wall boundary condition. I would really appreciate if somebody has helpful hint or advice.

same problem

Adnan,
I am facing exactly the same problem here; of absence of catalyst just beside the riser wall. I will really appreciate if you can share with me any of your findings as I am in a bad need to solve this problem.

Thanks in advance,
Moataz
