Shedding cycle time

Hello to all.

How can I read in Fluent, after my calculation, the shedding cycle time to calculate the Strouhal number?

Another question: Force coefficients use the reference area (in 3D?) to calculate itself; and in 2D which dimension uses? And how calculates Fluent the value of the area? In reference values panel Area is always equal to 1 m2.

Thanks a lot

You can plot velocity vs time while calculations at some position in your domain.

I didn't understand your answer, could you explain clearer?

I expect that you are solving an unsteady problem. While solving you can place a monitoring point in the domain using solve-monitors-surface and then plot the velocity vs time step or flow time. Then you can see the time needed for one cycle using that plot. I hope this will help you.

Thanks
