Modelling Transient Braking Events

At the moment I am in the intial stages of conducting saome research on the aero-thermodynamic properties of ventillated brake rotors. So far all the models I have created have been steady state analysis, modelling only the rotor, using a 20 degree slice of the disc and a single rotating reference frame.

Now I wish to perform transient analysis of the disc rotating at varying speeds, for example from max velocity to zero. Can some one please advise me how best to do this. Is it possible to use a UDF to control the angular velocity of a rotating reference frame with respect to time, if so which MACROS do I need to use for this? or is a sliding mesh model required for this problem.

Please note at this time I am only modelling the air flow through and around the disc, there are no suspension components or wheels etc.. and this part of the analysis is only concerned with the areodynamic properties of the disc.
