Hi,

Is it possible to read from the UDF the value of the surface tension coefficient given through Define > Phases > Interaction > Surface Tension ?

Thanks.

I don't know if I understood right, but if you mean giving a non-constant value to the surface tension coefficient (for example, as a function of temperature) by UDF the answer is yes (DEFINE_PROPERTY macro, there might be an example even in the udf manual).

Hope this helps

Edi.

Thanks, but I need not to give value from UDF to the solver, but to read the current value of the surace tension into UDF.

Ok, sorry for the misunderstanding. I think you can use the RP_get_real macro, but you have to know the Scheme name of that variable, and unfortunately I don't...

Hope someone will be more helpful...

Edi.

My case file contains:

(sfc-tension-coeff (phase-2 phase-1 (constant . 0.036)))

But I do not know how to read this value (0.036) with RP_Get_Real...
