Hi.

EVERYTHING IN FLUENT

I am trying to model simple 2D Couette flow, but i couldn't ble to apply the zero pressure gradient ( when i give the top wall moving at 1 m/s; bottom wall stationary;left side as velocity inlet of 1m/s; right side as the outflow BC) I am getting a fullydeveloped flow profile like a parabola. Actually it should be a straight line with u(y=0) = 0 and u(y=ymax) = u_top.Can any one of you please help me.

My second Question is : I enabled low-pressure slip model and trying to run 2D coutte flow or 2D Poissule Flow with top and bottom wall with Slip BC. When i apply these the solution is converging in 1 iteration i dont know whats going wrong. But instead of applying the slip wall on both top and bottom, if i apply just for one its working fine. Can you please help me???

My last question: does any one of you have any Benchmark cases to verify slip modelsfor 2D couette and poissule flows. If some on have pls email me at dravimech@yahoo.com

Thanks CFD Student

anon_d is on a distinguished road
I think you should use periodic B.C. to get the zero pressure gradient.
I've problem simulating the slip boundry condition too.
