Problems with porous jmp boundary type
Hi,
I am modeling a filter/screen in Fluent. I have difficulties in using porous jump boundary type in 2D.I select an edge for porous jump but when I try to export it, it says that poruous jump does not contain any valid entity and is not written. Manual says that poruous jump is a type of internal face zone. What does it mean? Thank you. |
Re: Problems with porous jmp boundary type
I think you should make two sections. One for the incoming and other for the after the filter. The edge separating the incoming and outgoing (sections) can be defined as porous jump

Re: Problems with porous jmp boundary type
It sounds weird; as a matter of fact the porous jump BC must be applied to an internal face zone, therefore a line in 2d or a face in 3d. I always applied this boundary to internal faces in 3d and never had any problem...you can try to set your edge as "interior" in gambit and then change it into porous jump in fluent and see what happens...
Hope this helps, Edi. |
