Dynamic Meshing

Hi,

I've been trying to aquaint myself with the dynamic meshing functions to use the Six Degree of Freedom Solver. As of yet, I have gone through some tutorials from the Fluent website, downloaded the relevant files and they have worked fine. When I carry out the same steps outlined in the tutorial for a mesh that I generated, I run into problems.

First, if I include gravity, which will undoubtedly cause the block in question to move through the domain, I invariably run into problems of negative volumes. It seems the block moves thanks to gravity, but remeshing doesn't seem to occur. Thus initial cells are deformed until those on the leading edge become negative.

Otherwise, leaving gravity out, using a very light block and high enough velocities, it doesn't seem as though I can get the block to move due to fluid forces.

If anyone can shed some light on what I may be overlooking, it would be most appreciated.
