Negative Volumes
Essentially, when simulating a block falling under gravitational constraints, Fluent will not remesh to give a new mesh after each time step, but will step in time until there are negative volumes and subsequently fail. I wonder if it has to do with my UDF defining the properties of the block or the way I created my mesh in Gambit, because it seems as though every other detail is identical to the tutorial.

Re: Negative Volumes
Check the volume in the Gambit. If it is showing negative volume Then mesh it by reducing the interval count.

Re: Negative Volumes
I'm fairly certain that that isn't the problem, if I make the time step small enoungh, such that a couple of time steps can occur before the block in question crosses any cell boundaries (i.e. it only deforms the initial mesh without creating negative volumes). I do have the remeshing setting on and set to an interval of 1, so it seems like it should be remeshing. Anyways, thank you very much for your input; most appreciated.
