can some one help

I have declared the Boundary types as Velocity inlet, outflow, wall1, wall2, wall3 and wall4. When I try to export the meshed volume into Fluent, I got the error "Boundary entity wall:4 does not contain any valid entity and is not written" can some one suggest what this error means and how I can rectify? thank you Neelima

Re: can some one help

u r just a click away from ur answer.after defining ur boundary conditions follow the following steps: File-->export-->Mesh-->a new window will open. it contains:1)file type.

2)file name(enter the name of ur file.)Donot click

browse.

3)Export 2-D(X-Y) mesh(select this option)

4) Accept. Thats' ok.File will be saved. u r getting error because u r not selecting the "Export 2-D(X-Y)Mesh option". Thanks.

hi

created a wind tunnel with solid constraints in it(3d), meshed it and have given the boundary conditions as follows

inlet, outflow; wall1, wall2,wall3,wall4(bottom of the wind tunnel).

When I try to export it to fluent i got this warning error

WARN: Face.29 is not meshed and is not exported WARN: Boundary Entity wall.4 does not contain any valid entity and is not written.

Re: can some one help

u have done some mistake while making and meshing ur geometry. u have to model ur geometry again and make sure that every entity u have defind is correct. i think there is no other way.
