Interpolation Queries

I want to use the results of nozzle fluid flow in another assembly simulation using interpolation option. It is given in the manual that the parameters of both geometries must be same. After reading the interpolation file, I am not getting the nozzle results same as done by separate analysis. Can anybody tell me the probable causes and remedies? Also I am having the following doubts
1) Is it necessary to keep the co-ordinates of nozzle used in assembly drawing as that of the nozzle separately analysed? 2) I have defined separately analysed nozzle inlet & exit as pressure inlet & outlet and assembly nozzle inlet & outlet as interior. Is it permissible? (Though my inlet pressure at assembly nozzle inlet is same as that at separately analysed nozzle, my actual pressure inlet in assembly is not at nozzle inlet, hence I used interior) 3) Is any other specific operations (like profile reading or separaing faces)to be done after reading interpolation file? |

I have used the interpolation function in similar situations successfully. Here are my comments.
1. Yes. you need to keep the coordinates of the nozzle (in the individual part CFD) same as the coordinates in the assembly. 2. It doesnt matter what boundary conditions you use. Fluent will ignore a variable if it is not needed (like applying a velocity on a wall). But in your case it doesn't matter 3.Since the regions other than the nozzle might not be initialized you will have to patch them or initialize them before you interpolate your nozzle |

Thanks Vivek. I will try your procedure.
