I have project that needs CFD modeling inside a complex 3D object. The object is so complex beyond the graphic capability of Gambit. I'm thinking of using some program like Autocad or Pro/E to create the drawings first, then import them to Gambit. I couldn't decide which program to use. I'm familiar with 2D drawings in AutoCad, and used Pro/E only a little. Can someone help me decide which one is the best to perform this task? Thanks in advance.

For 3D modeling Pro/E is much stronger and more versatile than AutoCAD. Pick up a tutorial book on it. It's pretty easy to learn if you have some 3D modeling experience.

Good luck, Jason

SolidWorks is by far the easiest modeling package I've ever worked with, and it's reasonably powerful. If you have the option, I would go with SolidWorks, but between Pro/E and AutoCAD, I recommend Pro/E.
