Regarding Reynolds number

I am simulation water oil stratified flow in a pipe of 15 cm diameter.
I have two inlets for oil and water seprately but only one outlet. flow rates of both water and oil are constant at 5 cubic meter per hour, but I have a very basic problem of calculating the Reynolds number for water and oil separately when it comes to choosing the diameter. should I have to take half the dia (7.5 cm as upper 50% of the pipe vol is occupied by oil) or should i have to take the entire pipe dia for calculating Reynolds numbers of individual phases. Please advise. |
