about initializaton

hi,all

how to use the result calculated before as the initilization of another work? say, i have a simulation at Re=1000, and i wanna simulate at Re=2000, after i read the former files(.cas&.data) and initialized, then does the calculation/resuls(at Re=1000) work?

thanx!

Re: about initializaton

Hi changkiang, GO to file>interpolate in Re=1000 simulation. First write data to some file from Re=1000 simulation. Then for Re=2000 simulation, go to file>interpolate and read and interpolate from the file you wrote earlier. Bye

Hi,

simulate your case with Re = 1000, than just set your Re to 2000 (with velocity, or material property) and start iterating again. Do not initialize again!

Re: about initializaton

thank u, Vishal and Ralf Schmidt!

i think Ralf's idea may be easier to handle. My understanding is just to set the initializaton parameters and button the "Apply" other than "Init", otherwise, the setting dosn't work.

thanx again!
