Low temperature limit when iterations are done.

Hi I am doing the combustion analysis using the liquid fuel pentane. the fuel temperature is 303K and air temperature is 650 K. After few iteration has occured than the message comes that" temperature limit to 1.0000K in 3cells in Zone 4".Still iterations are going on but how to remove this message.

thanks a lot.

hi manoj oil droplets absorb energy from surrounding cell and gets evaporated .so that the surrounding cell temperature drastically drops.it will happen to only few cells nothing to worry. If you model droplet evaporation or wet combustion this messages will come. try to limit the temperature to room temp or higher one in the limits panel in fluent solver.

Re: Low temperature limit when iterations are done

This is because the solver has produced temperatures less than 1 K (most probably negative values) and because this is physically impossible (on the absolute scale), the temperature is limited to the minimum value which is 1 k. If the solution is converging then keep it running otherwise you have to reduce the Energy underrelaxation factor.
