Problems using dynamic mesh and 6dof solver

I am trying to investigate the 6dof solver by running a validation case against the analytical result for throwing a ball vertically in the air.

However, I am having two problems.

Firstly, I am trying to put a bounding box around the ball and set it as a passive zone. The idea being that I can have an unstructured grid around the ball, and a structured grid everywhere else - then use layering as the primary form of dynamic meshing. But for some reason, I cannot get layering to work when the mesh has passive dynamic zones and once the ball has moved the distance of the closest cell I get a negative cell volume error.

Secondly, if I use an unstructured mesh everywhere I am finding that it will not remesh the non-moving boundary walls and again, once the ball has moved far enough I get a negative cell volume.

Does anyone have an idea of what I might be doing wrong? Thanks, Brett.
