Hi,

I need to calculate the wall shear stress gradient in a UDF, does anybody know how to do this?

Any help would be greatly appreciated,

Cheers, Andrew.

Hello everyone

I know I'm posting on an outdated thread, but though maybe this is the most relevant post to my inquiry.

The thing is I need to calculate Time Averaged Wall Shear Stress Gradient for a transient simulation (TAWSSG) within a artery and have been searching for a while on a net and checked out a few tutorials, but couldn't find any proper guides on how to write a udf for it.

Is there any professionals here able of helping me on calculating TAWSSG preferably with using udf?

Cheers and thank you in advance

Azi

Did you try to use "Data Sampling for Time Statistics" option in "run calculation" tab?
If no, use google to find information about it, may be it will be enough for your case

best regards

Data sampling only gives me the time-avareged WSS vector while I need to calculate two parameters: (i) the average of |WSSG| which means first calculating the magnitude of WSSG and then average, (ii) the average of WSSG vector which means first finding the WSSG vector/matrix out of WSS and then time-average.

Any suggestions on how to do this in post-processing/udf?
