pressure drop

hi

i want to find the pressure drop across different length of the pipe.but in the pressure option for contours we dont have any pressure drop.i have not set any periodic BC in my geometry.is thr anyother way of calculating pressure drop.

Re: pressure drop

hi, you have to create sections in Fluent (sweep Face) Then for computing pressure drop, you must go to report/surface integrals choose Pressure (total pressure) and area weighted average chosse your inlet then compute do the same with the section you created. The drop pressure is the difference between the inlet-value and your section-value hope it helps

Re: pressure drop

What I usually do is to calculate the surface integral of pressure in two different planes, so you can calculate the drop pressure by using the difference

Report\surface integrals
