overflow boundary condition
Hi:
I am using fluent to simulate the flow inside a rectangle tank (top is opening). Liquid is fed from bottom, and exits from top. Since top is open, liquid overflow from the top. I tried both pressure outlet and outflow boundary for the top surface. The result is not realistic (flow exits from center of top surface, instead of side of top surface). Any advice on what boundary condition I should use? many thanks marangoni |
Re: overflow boundary condition
Try extending your domain, like a sudden expansion on the top?

Re: overflow boundary condition
it is a free surface at top, and make sure gravity is in effect...

Re: overflow boundary condition
Look at the domain size and velocity. I mean, if velocity is one mangnitude with domain height you can expect such results. Follow the first comment.
