gambit geometry

hi, i have to draw a rectangular sump in which a cylindrical pipe is inserted.some portion of pipe is inside the sump.any one have any idea how to make that geometry.

Hi,
Subtract the pipe volume in sump volume. retain the pipe volume if required. then mesh both the domain. i hope this works for you. With regards sangamanath |

hi san, thanks for your reply.i tried that and it works but hoe do you manage your mesh and boundary conditions.i mean is sizing function required? should i go with default mesh option?

Hi, As far as i know size function is about refining your mesh at certain points in a geometry like corner or edges.you can get better idea in gambit's modelling guide.
