reg porous wall as boundary

is it possible to define a boundary as thin porous wall? for example, while simlating a hydrocyclone, if i need to put in a porous wall instead of wall, how do i specify this? kindly help

Re: reg porous wall as boundary

It seems that porous zone should be set in fluid zone in fluent, I also have such a problem to solve. I want to simulate the absorption and deabsorption of moisture in walls, can I?

Re: reg porous wall as boundary

thank you. yes, especially when we want to apply the porous jump condition, (i.e treat as 1D thin porous wall) we need to give it as a part of interior zone.. but may be for your problem, you can treat the wall as 3D porous domain and proceed. but for my problem, i.e hydrocyclone, the flow domain is itself pretty complicated and so i feel if i could specify the wall as a thin porous media, it would be easier. please try n inform me incase you make progress.
