Default Mesh import from I-deas

Hi guys:

I'm working with I-deas for geometric modelling and meshing, since it has features that gambit does not, but I can't get gambit or fluent to recognize the groups that define the boundary faces, i.e. all I get is an entire volume meshed with no faces that divide the zones. So I can't tell fluent the difference between solid and fluid or inlet or outlet. Can someone help me please? Thanks in advance.
