C_YI

what`s a units of C_YI? Is it (C_YI) equal to mass contentration of species "i" in solution?? (C_YI = mi / m) (kg/kg)?? Please answer me :)

Re: C_YI

Hi.C_YI is defined as the mass fraction of a specie so the unit must be kg(species i)/kg(fluid). For example, I use C_YI to know the value of absolute humidity in the air.It represents the mass of vapor water contained in one kilogram of air.

Hope it'll help you see you

Hi cax,
how to include natural convection using bossinique model in simple species transport without reaction phenomenon.?

i am trying to solve humidity transfer in enclosure, every where isolated except for ceiling..ceiling is cooled..but in Fluent i can see temperature gradient but there is no mass fraction of H2O gradient..i am trying to write UDF but, what is the source term? there is no generation of humidity in my room..

please help me...

Hi,
would you please tell me that how we can use C_Yi in order to calculate the difference between ionic concentrations of two species in the system?! (For example O2 and N2)

Dear all,

I am trying to simulate absorption through interface of a gas-liquid system by VOF and I need to use mass fraction of the species in both phase ( liquid and gas) to define the rate of mass transfer through interface. would you please kindly help me how could it be possible?
