no convergence with pressure outlet BC

Hi!

I have a simple geometry (turbulend flow over a plate, 2D, incompressible) and I can NOT achieve convergence! I have a

- pressure outlet BC at the top of my domain and at the right side, and a

- vel. inlet BC at the left side (the plate is at the bottom).

look at http://ww3.cad.de/foren/ubb/uploads/...elmagplate.JPG

When I use wall-BC at the top, everything is fine... But the results are wrong (a pressure gradient will appear).

What settings are appropiate for the seggregated solver?? what urf, what coupling and what discretisation should I use???

Any help is highly appreciated!

Ralf

Re: no convergence with pressure outlet BC

Hi,

i think you want to simulate FLOW OVER A FLAT PLATE.

on top i think you can use symmetry or wall ( with no-slip) condition.

i hope this will help you.

Consult a problem discussed in Anderson's book.
