How to set water surface boundary condition ??

Hi~

I have a rectangular container filled with water. The top is the water face and the water is heated by the right heater.

I want to see the water thermally convected by outside air. And if I generate some gas in the water, the gas still can pass the water face to outside.

I know that the WALL boundary can set to CONVECTION, but the gas can not pass the WALL to the outside air.

Can anybody help me? Thank you.

Please explain it in great detail. Thank you very much.

Hi,

I suggest you to use the option Search of this forum by using: "Free surface boundary condition". You will find lots of comments about it.

Personally, I've tried different options depending on what I want to simulate. I've used pressure outlet, outflow, symmetry, and wall with stress = 0. Remember to consider the conditions of every boundary.

Regards,

HAR
