Hi, Can anyone tell me what is a UDS, and what are they used for? where could I find examples for the same? Thanks a lot Rekha.

Re: UDS

It is a user defined scalar. Its basically lets you define an arbitrary scalar quantity in a general transport equation and fluent takes care of solving the transport equation.

An example would be the Magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) module in fluent which uses UDS equations to solve the magnetic field. Other examples can be found in the fluent UDF manual
