Hi to everybody! I know that Gambit can mesh .igs files . (I'm realizing a project I will save in .igs ) The mesh generated by Gambit (e.g. saved in .msh format) can be used in Fluent and other programs similar to Fluent. I need to have only the mesh file (.msh without inlet/outlet conditions) outputted by Gambit... but I use Gambit very little and I'm not able to solve some problems given by Gambit about 2 surfraces... So.. I'm looking for someone who could make the gambit meshes for me.. I think it will be very quick to do for anybody who use Gambit everyday...

Hi Sam! I'm sending you a link where you can download a .zip file called Meshing-Problems.zip !
Available links: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=0ZKWO70A http://www.megaupload.com/it/?d=0ZKWO70A You only have to go in the upper-right of the page (near MEGAUPLOADS writing), insert tre shown letters and wait 45 seconds in order to download the .zip ! In the .zip you find two .igs files: - Assembly_(Threaded).igs - Problematic-Component_(Enlarged).igs Great if you will mesh the assembly! But Corpo.igs colud be sufficient for my puropse! They aren't the final version of my project.. if you succeed in meshing, can you also mesh the final .igs version (when I complete it)? If you can't download them, please send your email address to me at markchat5@libero.it and I'll send you everything! Thankx a lot!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

You can draw & mesh the reactor, then either patch the catalyst partice loading like in fluidised bed if I'm right.

I'm not doing a fluidised bed or packed bed simulation. Anyway, I suppose you can do it by adding a reaction (via species modelling) on fluidised bed case. Another idea might be by assuming the bed as a porous media. The second idea shouldn't be accurate but it does simplify your problem (maybe). Fluidised bed tutorial is available in Fluent user or in Fluent help. Good luck.
