LES and total turbulent kinetic energy

hi!

i am doing a poiseuille flow using the LES turbulence model to get familiar with LES and Fluent. i'm using fluent 6.2.16.

reynolds number based on the height between the plates is 5000. to check that the simulation is ok, one should monitor the total turbulent kinetic energy to see that it is stabilizing and the spectra of the turbulent energy should also be checked (if the spectra for high frequency turbulence is increasing, the mesh is too coarse).

do anyone know how to extract the total turbulent energy and the turbulent spectra from the solution?

also, the fluent user guide says that the subgrid turbulent kinetic enegy can be otained from the "turbulence" drop-down list in the postprosessing panels. it doesn't seem to be present. do anyone know the reason for this?

regards,

boerge

Same problem as Boerge's. Any kind of help is greatly appreciated.
