I thhink that in fluent4, you should change your conducting wall in live cell excepted for the boundary condition where the conducting wall is taken as a "normal" wall. Normally, if you do that, when you import your case in Fluent6, you should have two zones and a "shadow" wall between these two zone.

Good luck

Dear PIfou74, thanks for your help again! the fluid cell is defined live cell first in my programme. when i change the conducting wall into live cell , FLuent can not distinguish the two types. and i can not define the physical properties of the conducting wall. THX for your help!

I think that now, in Fluent6, you should have two fluid zone? One for the "real" live and one for the zone corresponding to the conducting wall. You just have to change this second zone properties in order that it becomes solid.

If you have not the two zones this is not normal. In Fluent4, when you change the conducting wall cells to live you should define as wall the cells at the interface between the live and the conducting wall.

Good luck
