Urgent : Saving the plot data to a file

Hi, everybody I want to compare my result with those of DNS. To saving the plot data to a file, I must live the node values option turned on or off?

Hi,

Node values are obtained by interpolating and weighting the cell values so are generally used for creating contour plots with smooth variations over cell boundaries (the pictures look nicer). The cell values are effectively the calculated value at each cell centroid position so I'd use these since there is no interpolation used. However, as long as your mesh is ok the differences are going to be very small whether you use node or cell values.

Hope this helps

Steve
