FIDAP vs. FLUENT

Does anyone know the different between Fidap and Fluent?

Re: FIDAP vs. FLUENT

One would be FIDAP is finite-element based, where Fluent is finite-volume based.

Dear Myron, Thx for yr reply. The reason I asked was, I want to know if Fluent deals with free surface (interface) better than Fidap. Or vice versa.

The real question is do you really want to bother to set up a case in FIDAP ???? i promise a painful time

Really? If so, the answer is no. I will keep my fluent model. :) But at this moment, I need to hook udf for the dynamic contact angle. I need to use fluent 6.3 beta version.
