One would be FIDAP is finite-element based, where Fluent is finite-volume based.

Dear Myron, Thx for yr reply. The reason I asked was, I want to know if Fluent deals with free surface (interface) better than Fidap. Or vice versa.

Really? If so, the answer is no. I will keep my fluent model.
But at this moment, I need to hook udf for the dynamic contact angle. I need to use fluent 6.3 beta version.
