solution diverges

I am simulating micro parallel plate channel flow. It is 2D. The length is 3000 and height is 1.2 micron. I need to use slip flow on the wall which is proportional to du/dy. y is normal coordinate to the flow direction. u is the gas velocity in the flow direction. When I use 12 mesh in the y direction then the simulation converges and give the required result. But if I increase mesh number say 20 then the solution diverges. Can anybody say How can I control the solution so that it will converge even if I increase mesh number. Mech

Re: solution diverges

If you're not already doing so, start with the converged solution from your coarse mesh and interpolate the flow field onto your fine mesh. Starting from an already converged solution from an old mesh is much more likely to converge.

Hi Brian Thank you for your prompt response. I can get converged solution from coarse but from that solutiion how I will interpolate to fine mesh I do not know. Would you describe the procedue? Mech
