particle surface reactions

i want to simulate reactions with catalyst,i use the particle surface reaction ,but when i choose the option particle in the reaction panel,it showed that "NO solid species have beed defined in the mixture". how to add the catalyst to the reaction? because my reactions are gas-gas reactions, it's seem unpossible to add a solid to the mixture? are there any options that i didn't choose? or any other reasons?

Re: particle surface reactions

surface reaction can be given with help of defining solid particles. like char reaction. how surface reaction is possible in gas gas phase? define it as solid particle and give the reaction which you want. looking for community feed back

To activate the solid species tab and to be able to select the solid material, you must define the solid material but as a fluid. Also, the viscosity can be set to kinetic theory. The standard enthalpy and standard entropy are set to 0.
Thanks
