Need help setting a boundary condition...

Hi, I have two quick questions: 1) Supposse that Iīm working with a jet engine airplane, what boundary condition should I put for the engine air intake? 2) In the case of a car, wich boundary condition should I set for the air intake in front of the car (donīt know the name for that in english)?

Thank you!

It depends what you know. Do you know a mass rat per second? a velocity? a pressure?

Velocity inlet, mass flow inlet or pressure inlet should be good.

For an airplane, you can use pressure far field (only if you've meshed far enough before your inlet).

Hope that helps !

Re: Need help setting a boundary condition...

Perhaps I didnīt say something important, I want to work with the whole plane (including the press far field and also the engine), so basically I have to set two boundary conditions, my question is, how I have to set the engine intake to have a real flow behaivor around the plane.

Thanks!
