translational periodic boundary condition

Hi all

I read the fluent tutorial but I couldn't apply the translational periodic boundary condition in the 3d.

Did anyone of you work with it?!! my question is if I have 6 faces and I know the faces that I want to apply the translational periodic boundary condition on them which one is the periodic and which is its shadow

There is misunderstood between tut. 2 and tut. 15

I need a help

Re: translational periodic boundary condition

If you run the grid check in fluent it should report the direction vector of your periodicity. The periodic face is upstream (relative to vector) and shadow downstream.
